Het komt niet goed met Libië

Voor het eerst sinds maart brengt een Vlaamse krant iets zinnigs over de misdadige agressie van de NAVO tegen Libië. Journalist Guy van Vlierden schrijft op blz. 23 van het Laatste Nieuws van het weekend van 6 en 7 augustus een boeiend artikel over de situatie in Libië, over de gewelddadige tweedracht bij de rebellen na het vermoorden van de militaire chef van de rebellen Younes waardoor de positie van de rebellen verzwakt werd. Verder haalt hij een analyse van een Amerikaanse denk tank Jamestown Foundation die tot de conclusie komt dat “het meest waarschijnlijke scenario is dat Libië verbrokkelt tot een lappendeken waarin plaatselijke krijgsheren, traditionele stamhoofden en naar Al Quaeda neigende moslim extremisten mekaar blijven bestrijden”

Tweedracht na moord op Younes

Na het vermoorden van Younes  op 29 juli jl. is er een grote scheiding gekomen tussen de stam van Younes de ‘Warfalla’ en de rest van de rebellen. De familie vraagt een snel en transparant onderzoek naar de daders. Het schijnt dat het lichaam van Younes nog steeds niet gevonden is en dat de begrafenis gebeurd is zonder lichaam. Sinds het vermoorden van Younes zijn er regelmatig straatgevechten in de straten van Benghazi. De leden van de stam van Warfalla hebben 2 gevangenissen overvallen en honderden gevangenen bevrijd. Als reactie hierop hebben de rebellen een kamp van de Warfalla aangevallen op 30 juli met de hulp van tanks van troepen van Qatar en andere buitenlandse troepen waarbij 120 leden van Warfalla vermoord werden en vele anderen gevangen genomen, waardoor ze wraak zweren.

BREAKING NEWS 09.08.2011: De 14 leden van de Nationale Overgangsraad zijn opgestapt en de raad wordt ontbonden wegens de verwarrende manier waarop het onderzoek naar de dood van Younes werd gevoerd maar ook wegens administratieve fouten rond het aanhoudingsbevel tegen de militaire chef Younes.  Mahmoud Jibril de leider van de raad zal binnenkort een  raad met nieuwe leden samenstellen.  Zie www.english.libya.tv

De conclusies van de Libische stammenraad

De Libische stammenraad (2.100 stamhoofden) hebben in mei een paar keer vergaderd.  Daar werd toen een Raad voor Libië opgericht, die in het geval dat Ghadaffi zou sneuvelen, het land zou vertegenwoordigen. Hier zijn Westerse media bij aanwezig geweest, maar daar hebben ze weinig of niets over geschreven. Deze Raad is legitiem, alle clans, stammen, grote families hebben hier voor gestemd. De raad heeft beslist dat de leiders van de rebellen het Libische volk niet vertegenwoordigen, omdat ze ofwel van Washington komen en daardoor de belangen verdedigen van de kolonialisten ofwel omdat het buitenlanders en islamitische fundamentalisten zijn tegen wie de kolonialisten vechten in Irak en Afghanistan.
Verder zijn ze verraders en collaborateurs die aan buitenlandse kolonialistische machten gevraagd hebben om en de bevolking en de infrastructuur van Libië te vernietigen. De leiders van de rebellen zijn een kunstmatige organisatie waarvan met veel geld, wapens en politieke steun van de kolonialistische machten, de waarde en macht opgeblazen werd.

NAVO brengt dood en vernieling

De NAVO gebruikt een tactiek van afschrikking van de bevolking, door bombardementen op burgerdoelwitten, burgerwijken, scholen, ziekenhuizen met duizenden burgerslachtoffers als gevolg.
Ze halen zelfs het eten uit de mond van  de bevolking door voedsel opstapelplaatsen te bombarderen en zelfs kippen, koeien, schapen, kamelen.

Ze hebben de grote “great man- made River” gebombardeerd  en ook de waterwinningsinstallaties in het plaatsje Zlitan waar eerder al een ziekenhuis is aangevallen.  Sommige stadsdelen in Tripoli werden tot 40 keer (!) gebombardeerd. De elektriciteitsvoorziening en de waterwinningsinstallaties zijn bijna compleet uitgeschakeld.

NAVO, de nieuwe piraten in de Middellandse Zee

Volgens een artikel op 5 augustus in the Independent blz23, hebben de speciale eenheden van Frankrijk en/of het Verenigde Koninkrijk vanuit helikopters de olietanker “Cartagena” voor de kust van Malta gekaapt en afgeleid naar de haven van Benghazi. Het was een boot vol benzine bestemd voor de bevolking van Tripoli.
Hiermee blijft de NAVO het slechte voorbeeld aan de wereld geven.

Impasse na 5 maanden en  7000 bombardementen

Na 5 maanden en 7000 bombardementen heeft de NAVO grote delen van de infrastructuur kapot gebombardeerd. De impasse na 5 maanden van wrede bombardementen bewijst dat de meerderheid van de bevolking de Libische regering steunt en bovendien is de Libische bevolking nu ook woedend op de NAVO en de rebellen. De NAVO wil met haar wrede bombardementen de Libische bevolking afschrikken, doden en wurgen door de basisbehoeften aan de bevolking te onthouden zodat ze zich zouden afkeren van hun regering. De NAVO wil haar misdadige kolonialistische uitbuitingsbelangen door geweld opdringen aan de Libische bevolking.

De NAVO blijft de voorkeur geven aan geweld boven recht.

De NAVO blijft de kritiek op haar meedogenloze repressie tegen de Libische bevolking naast zich neerleggen.
De NAVO moet toegeven dat haar misdadig plan voor een regimewissel tegen de wil van de meerderheid van de Libische bevolking gefaald heeft en moet onmiddellijk de wrede bombardementen stopzetten en voor een internationale rechtbank komen wegens oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de mensheid.

De agressie laten voortduren gewoon om het gezicht te redden en de nederlaag niet te willen aanvaarden is totaal misdadig. De NAVO maakt zich schuldig aan de dood van duizenden burgers en aan de aansporing tot slachtingen onder de Libische bevolking.

THE CONCLUSIONS OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE TRIBES OF LIBYA

On the National Level:
Libya is an independent country. Non Libyans have no legitimate right to intervene in the affairs of Libya. It’ is only Libyans who should have the freedom and the right to choose their own political, economic and social system.
The unity and independence of Libya are above every other consideration and are not a subject for debate or negotiation.
Mouammar Al-gaddafi is a historical Leader, the symbol of the Libyan Revolution and the builder of Aljamaheriya. We cannot and will not abandon him or forsake him. As for the State, its administration and institutions, all Libyans have the right to mange them in the way and method they see fit.
The Conference has decided to put an end to the Trial of our nation and declares the start of a process of peace-making and forgiveness towards those who decide to put down their arms. To heal the wounds of our nation, the Conference will initiate the forming of specialised committees dedicated to the measuring, evaluating and understanding the extent of human and material losses of the Crisis in all Libyan cities and towns. Other specialised committees will work to investigate and judge the causes and factors that lead to Crisis. A national process of compensation for all individual losses will take place thereafter.
The Conference rejects and criminalises any attempt to by any Libyan to seek support from foreign powers, or facilitate foreign intervention, or aid foreign aggression against Libya. The Conference considers such acts as Grand Treason for which all those involved shall be tried.
The Conference rejects and criminalises any attempt to aid the traitors and agents of the foreign powers in Libya and calls upon their tribes to forsake them and to provide them with no support and to cease talks with them.
The Conference regards any agreement or promise given by the traitors to any foreign country as invalid and worthless.
The Conference will work on a General Amnesty Law which will include all those who were involved in the Crisis and took up arms. The General Amnesty Law is a means of laying the path ahead for a new era of peace and forgiveness.
The Conference emphasises the importance of protecting the national wealth and basic resources of the Libyan People such as oil, gas, water and Libyan assets outside Libya. We also work to protect our great national enterprises such as the Great man-made River, our sea-ports, our airports and our factories. Any harm directed at these national facilities is to be regarded as Grand Treason of the country and aggression against the Libyan nation. These facilities must be under the full protection of the Armed Forces.
The Conference calls for the immediate initiation of a process that would lead finally to the adoption of a Constitutional framework able to protect rights and safeguards freedoms in Libya.
On the International Level:
The Conference embraces all calls for peace and accepts regional and international peace initiatives with practical arrangements that would guarantee the ceasing of the foreign aggression.
The Conference rejects the UNSC resolutions 1970 & 1973 as they are invalid according to the UN Charter itself.
The Conference calls for negotiations with Western countries after the complete halt of their aggression against our country. This should then lead to a rearrangement of Libya’s relations with the West based on new foundations of mutual interests, respect, peace and Libya’s sovereignty.
The Conference calls all non-permanent members of the UNSC and those countries that refused to vote for the 1970 and 1973 resolutions to exert their best efforts for the annulment of the these two unjust resolutions.
The Conference calls upon all Arab tribes and Arab nations, especially those whose governments are involved in the conspiracy against Libya, to revolt against their corrupt governments who provided help and support for foreign powers and armed groups in their aggression against the Libyan People.
The Conference believes in the right of the Libyan nation to take to court all governments, organisations and individuals who have been involved in the Aggression.
The Conference encourages the African Union to play a more active rule to stop the foreign aggression against Libya.
Mechanisms:
The National Conference for the Tribes of Libya, in concluding its proceedings, has decided to select a temporary General Committee with the task of following up, supervising and ensuring the implementation of the Conference’s Conclusions. The General Committee will form other specialised committees of tribal leaders and experts as needed.
The Conference is in-session continuously until the Aggression is no more.
The Conference also calls all Libyan Tribes neighbouring the towns and cities highjacked by armed groups to move peacefully in popular marches to liberate those highjacked towns, disarming the armed rebels and helping the inhabitants of such towns to go back to their homes and their normal lives.

End Game for Benghazi Rebels as Libyan Tribes Prepare to Weigh In?

The force that is rapidly entering into this conflict is the leadership of Libya’s more than 2000 tribes.  In a series of meetings in Libya, Tunisia and elsewhere, the Tribal Council is speaking out forcefully and forging a political block that is demanding an end to Libyans killing Libyans.
Generally considered Libya’s largest tribe, are the Obeidis to which the Younnis family belongs. Some of the tribal leaders and members have vowed revenge against rebel leaders and as they carried the coffins of Abdul Fatah and his two companions they chanted, under the gaze of security forces, “the blood of martyrs will not go in vain.”
Libya’s Tribal Council has issued a manifesto which makes clear that it intends to end this conflict, help expel “the NATO crusaders”, achieve reforms while supporting the Gaddafi, Tripoli based government. Before Ramadan is over, it intends to end Libya’s crisis even if it needs to rally its hundreds of thousandsof active members to march on Benghazi.
NATO, according to various academics at Al Nasser and Al Fatah University, and Libya’s Tribal leadership, appear surprisingly ignorant and even contemptuous of this country’s tribes and their historic roles during times of crises and foreign aggression and occupation.  One tribal leader well known to Italy was Omar Muktar.
As NATO and its backers contemplate their End Game they may want to consider some  excerpts from the Libyan Tribal Council’s manifesto issued on July 26. Speaking for Libya’s 2000 tribes, the Council issued a Proclamation signed by scores of tribal leaders from eastern Libya.
“By this letter to the extraordinary African Summit,  convening in Addis Ababa, the notables of the Eastern tribes of the Great Jamahiriya confirm their complete rejection of what is  called the Transitional Council in Benghazi which hasn’t been nominated nor elected by Tribal representatives but rather imposed by NATO.”
“What is called the Transitional Council in Benghazi was imposed by NATO on us and we completely reject it. Is it democracy to impose people with armed power on the people of Benghazi, many of whose leaders are not even Libyan or from Libyan tribes but come from Tunisia and other countries.”
“The Trial Council assures its continuing cooperation with the African Union in its suggestions aimed at helping to prevent the aggression on the Libyan people”.…
“The Tribal Council condemns the crusader aggression on the Great Jamahiriya executed by the NATO and the Arabic regressive forces which is a grave threat to Libyan civilians as it continues to kill them as NATO bombs civilian targets.”…
“We do not and will not accept any authority other than the authority that we chose with our free will which is the People’s Congress and Peoples Committees, and the popular social leadership, and will oppose with all available means, the NATO rebels and their slaughter, violence and maiming of cadavers. We intend to oppose with all the means available to us the NATO crusader aggressors and their appointed lackeys”.
According to one representative of the Libyan Supreme Tribal Council, “The tribes of Libya have until today not fully joined in repelling the NATO aggressors. As we do, we serve notice to NATO that we shall not desist until they have left our country and we will ensure that they never return.”
